TESLAco’s proprietary ĆUKonverter technology was covered by eight issued U.S. patents and their foreign equivalents. TESLAco had an exclusive license from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena, to the ĆUKonverter technology related patents, as well as all other patents generated by Caltech’s Power Electronics Group (PEG), which was headed by Dr. Ćuk until the year 2000.
Among the numerous licensees are significant companies such as Boeing, Motorola, Hewlett Packard, GEC Marconi, Olivetti, Osram-Sylvania, and Ventritex.
