TESLAco’s patented and proprietary TESLAconverter technology is covered by four U.S. Patents and equivalent foreign patents. Thus, for the rights to use the TESLAconverter technology, a License Agreement must be signed with TESLAco.
Almost all of TESLAco’s License Agreements are concluded on a nonexclusive basis, granting to each Licensee a license to manufacture, use and sell the licensed products worldwide. However, in some special cases, when well defined and relatively narrow fields of application ars contemplated, a limited exclusivity can be granted.
Some companies licensed by TESLAco, which have substantial in-house design expertise, have opted to develop the switching power supply themselves and use TESLAco's engineering resources in a supervision and advisory role. In those cases, only the standard License Agreement is concluded and signed.
However, the majority of TESLAco’s Licensees prefer to use TESLAco’s switching power supply expertise and design capability to develop the very first optimized design which meets their product specifications. This has been proven to be the most cost-effective, reliable, and fastest way to bring the customer's new products to the market.
